Firmware

The ESC-R-150 is an official ESCape32 target. Upstream builds and publishes firmware for it under the target name PHOTONDRIVE1, so releases can be taken straight from the ESCape32 release page rather than from binaries mirrored here.

Use the ESCape32 releases page to find the latest release. The direct downloads below are pinned to revision 17.1 for reproducibility and may not remain current.

ESCape32 firmware — PHOTONDRIVE1 ESCape32 bootloader — BOOT4_PA2
warning

Match the bootloader to the target. BOOT4_PA2 is the only correct bootloader for the ESC-R-150; flashing another variant will leave the board unreachable over its signal line.

Flashing

The board is supplied with firmware installed. Check its revision with the CLI info command before choosing an update or following a configuration guide. The revision installed on your board may differ from the documented 17.1 download above. For a normal update, follow Firmware flashing; use SWD recovery only when the required bootloader is missing, damaged or needs replacement.

Radio configuration requires ESCape32 revision 17 or later. Boards with older firmware need an update before this feature is available. An update alone does not enable CRSF: complete the wiring and one-time activation in Radio Configuration.

With a compatible firmware revision installed, the ESC can be configured from the radio over CRSF, over a Wi-Fi Link board, or over the serial CLI.
